Last Updated September 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of classes, memberships, class passes, workshops, events, and other services offered by Haumea LLC, DBA Kindred Movement ("Kindred Movement," "we," "us," or "our").
By purchasing, booking, or participating in any Kindred Movement service, you agree to these Terms, as well as any additional policies or agreements that apply to the specific service you purchase or participate in.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not purchase or participate in Kindred Movement services.
1. Our Services
Kindred Movement is a movement and fitness studio offering yoga, barre, strength training, workshops, events, and related services.
Some classes and programs are designed specifically for pregnancy, postpartum, parents, babies, or families. Other offerings are open to the broader community.
Class descriptions and designations, including whether a class is prenatal-focused, prenatal-friendly, or baby-friendly, are intended to help you determine whether an offering may be appropriate for you. They are not medical recommendations.
We reserve the right to modify class schedules, instructors, class formats, locations, services, and offerings at any time.
2. Registration and Accounts
To participate in Kindred Movement services, you may be required to create an account and provide certain information, such as your name, contact information, and payment information.
You agree to provide accurate and current information and to update your information when necessary.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activity that occurs through your account.
You must not use another person's account without permission.
3. Class Passes and Credits
Class passes, account credits, promotional credits, and other forms of studio credit are subject to the terms presented at the time of purchase or issuance.
Unless otherwise stated:
-
Class passes and credits have an expiration date.
-
Class passes and credits have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.
-
Class passes and credits are intended for the individual account to which they are issued and may not be transferred unless expressly permitted by Kindred Movement.
-
Promotional credits may be subject to additional restrictions.
-
Expired passes or credits cannot be extended once past their expiration date.
Kindred Movement may offer extensions or other accommodations at its discretion. Any such accommodation does not create an obligation to provide the same accommodation in the future.
4. Memberships
Memberships automatically renew according to the terms presented at the time of purchase unless otherwise stated.
By purchasing an automatically renewing membership, you authorize Kindred Movement or its designated payment processor to charge your selected payment method for recurring membership fees.
You may cancel or modify your membership according to the cancellation terms provided for your specific membership.
Memberships may have additional terms regarding class access, included services, minimum commitments, freezes, cancellations, or other benefits. Those terms will be presented at the time of purchase and are incorporated into these Terms.
Kindred Movement reserves the right to change membership pricing or benefits. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice before changes take effect.
5. Booking Classes and Events
Registration may be required for classes, workshops, and events.
Space may be limited, and registration is generally available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some membership types may gain access to register for specific classes or events before registration becomes available to the general community.
By registering for a class or event, you agree to attend at the scheduled time and to comply with Kindred Movement's applicable cancellation and attendance policies.
Kindred Movement reserves the right to deny or limit registration when a class, workshop, or event has reached capacity.
6. Cancellations and No Shows
Our cancellation policy exists to allow other clients an opportunity to attend classes and to fairly compensate instructors and staff for reserved class space.
Unless a different policy applies to a particular offering:
-
Cancellations must be made within the cancellation window stated at the time of booking.
-
Late cancellations may result in the loss of a class credit or other applicable fee.
-
Failure to attend a booked class ("no-show") may result in the loss of a class credit or other applicable fee.
-
Special events, workshops, series, and other programs may have separate cancellation policies.
Kindred Movement may make exceptions to these policies at its discretion, including in cases of illness, emergencies, or other circumstances. An exception for one client or circumstance does not guarantee an exception in the future.
7. Studio Cancellations and Schedule Changes
Kindred Movement reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, relocate, or modify a class, workshop, event, or other service when necessary, including due to instructor availability, weather, facility issues, low enrollment, or other circumstances.
If Kindred Movement cancels a service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants and, when appropriate, provide a credit, refund, transfer, or other reasonable resolution.
Instructors and class formats may change without notice when circumstances require.
8. Exercise and Health Participation
Kindred Movement classes involve physical activity and may include movements that are physically demanding. You are responsible for determining whether participation in a particular class or activity is appropriate for you.
Kindred Movement does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Our instructors are not a substitute for your physician, midwife, physical therapist, or other healthcare professional.
If you are pregnant, recently postpartum, recovering from an injury, have a medical condition, or have any concerns about your ability to safely participate, we encourage you to consult an appropriate healthcare professional before participating.
You should inform your instructor of relevant physical limitations or concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely.
9. Pregnancy and Postpartum Participation
Pregnancy and postpartum experiences vary significantly from person to person. Kindred Movement provides modifications and options intended to accommodate different stages of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. However, no class or modification can be guaranteed to be appropriate for every individual.
Participation in a prenatal, postpartum, prenatal-friendly, or baby-friendly class does not mean that the class is medically appropriate for you. Our instructors are not medical professionals.
You remain responsible for monitoring your own body and choosing whether to participate in, modify, or stop an activity. If your healthcare provider has given you specific exercise restrictions or recommendations, those recommendations should take priority over general guidance provided by Kindred Movement.
10. Babies and Children
Some Kindred Movement classes and events welcome babies or children. When bringing a baby or child to a class or event, the accompanying adult is responsible for supervising that child and ensuring that the child does not interfere with the safety of other participants.
Kindred Movement instructors may provide suggestions for incorporating a baby or child into a class, but instructors cannot provide childcare or assume responsibility for supervising children.
Kindred Movement reserves the right to ask a participant to remove a child from an activity if the child's presence creates a safety concern or significantly interferes with the class.
Age restrictions or other requirements may apply to individual classes or events.
11. Waiver and Release
Participation in Kindred Movement classes, events, and other physical activities may involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury.
Before participating, you may be required to review and sign a separate waiver and release. The waiver and release is incorporated into these Terms by reference to the extent applicable. These Terms do not replace, modify, or limit any separate waiver, release, informed consent, or participation agreement that you sign with Kindred Movement.
12. Payments and Refunds
Prices for classes, memberships, workshops, products, and other services will be displayed at the time of purchase. You agree to pay all applicable fees associated with the services you purchase.
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable purchase terms or required by law, purchases are non-refundable.
Certain services, workshops, memberships, or programs may have separate refund, transfer, or cancellation policies. Those policies will apply to the applicable purchase.
If a payment is declined or otherwise cannot be processed, Kindred Movement may suspend access to applicable services until the balance is resolved.
13. Promotional Offers
Kindred Movement may occasionally offer discounts, promotions, referral incentives, challenges, giveaways, account credits, or other special offers. Promotional offers may have additional terms, including expiration dates, eligibility requirements, purchase requirements, or restrictions on combining offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional offers may not be combined and have no cash value.
Kindred Movement reserves the right to modify or discontinue a promotional offer at any time, subject to applicable law and any terms stated for that promotion.
14. Retail Purchases and Returns
Kindred Movement may offer retail products for purchase in the studio or online. We want you to love what you take home from Kindred. If something isn’t quite right, eligible retail purchases may be returned within 30 days with a receipt or proof of purchase.
Items must be unworn, unused, and in their original condition. Refunds are issued to the original form of payment.
Pre-loved items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
Third-party products are subject to the manufacturer's applicable warranties and policies, if any.
15. Respectful Community
Kindred Movement is committed to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment. You agree to treat instructors, staff, other participants, children, and guests respectfully.
Kindred Movement does not permit harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, abusive behavior, or conduct that creates an unsafe or disruptive environment.
We reserve the right to refuse service, remove a participant from a class or event, suspend an account, or terminate a membership when we reasonably determine that a person's conduct is inappropriate, unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with our community standards.
16. Instructor Guidance and Modifications
Our instructors may offer movement modifications, alternatives, or suggestions during class. These suggestions are intended as general fitness and movement guidance and are not individualized medical advice.
You are responsible for deciding whether to follow a particular instruction or modification. You should stop an exercise if it causes pain, discomfort, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms and seek appropriate medical attention when necessary.
17. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings while attending Kindred Movement. Kindred Movement is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
18. Photography and Recording
Kindred Movement or authorized third parties may occasionally photograph or record classes, events, or activities for marketing, educational, or other business purposes.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice when photography or recording is taking place and to respect individuals who have not provided applicable consent.
You should not photograph or record other participants without their permission.
If you have concerns about being photographed or recorded, please speak with a Kindred Movement staff member.
19. Electronic Communications
By providing your email address or phone number, you may receive communications related to your account, purchases, bookings, classes, schedule changes, and other services.
Where applicable, you may also receive promotional communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those communications. You can also update your and e-mail and SMS communication preferences on your account page in Mariana Tek.
Even if you opt out of promotional communications, you may continue to receive necessary transactional or service-related communications.
20. Third-Party Services
Kindred Movement may use third-party platforms for scheduling, payments, communications, memberships, retail purchases, or other services. Your use of those services may be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy policies. Kindred Movement is not responsible for the availability, security, or practices of third-party services except to the extent required by applicable law.
